Although I am more skeptic than spiritual, I have always enjoyed the aesthetics of Eastern philosophies and 'new age' religions. I thought I might try to write a song from the perspective of an artificial intelligence exploring her new senses and trying to understand the spiritual world. With the way computers interconnect, the loneliness that we feel probably wouldn't exist for a digital mind, so they might experience a 'spiritual connection' that we only dream of, and ultimately that is what this song celebrates.

From a theory perspective, the verse melody is composed in a 6 note equally-spaced 'hexatonic' scale, which prevents the sorts of standard resolutions that are typical in Western music, so I paired it with a relatively standard dance-break chorus to ground the listener between bouts of musical weirdness. Fun ^_^
