Depravity 03:26
Total depravity Utter depravity Are you sure you still want to subscribe to total depravity? We are not sinners because we sin… We sin because we are sinners. Total depravity Utter depravity How far have we fallen? What is the degree of that human corruption?

Exists 04:05
Exists It goes without saying I am far, far from being a perfect human being. But I am motivated by a vision which exists in all of the great religions… And that vision is so beautifully and clearly stated in Matthew 7:12, and it states, ‘So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.’

Because 03:53
It would reduce our profits drastically. Because Laid off because of new equipment Because Laid off because of new equipment Because In fact if the plan worked out real well we might even have to buy more machines. High speed machinery goes in and men like you and me go out. Because There just aren't any jobs to be had. Because It would reduce our profits drastically. There just aren't any jobs to be had. Because

People 03:58
Rules for handling people Rules for handling people Rules for handling people Rules for handling people Rules for handling people Rules for handling people Rules for handling people Rules for handling people People All those people out there, they're prospects. You have to use every device under the sun to find people who can qualify as prospects for our products. What are you trying to prove to people? What are you trying to prove to people? All those people out there, they're prospects.

Suppress 02:48
What do religious fundamentalists and big media corporations have in common? They believe that they own culture. They’re teaching young artists to be scared of music. I am taking ideas that are already there, and I synthesize them into something. My project is a remix project. It’s bad enough that someone might think that your art’s not good, but, ‘hey you can go to jail for it!’ If I don't make this piece of art because I'm scared then the terrorists have won. So many people don't understand this is a free speech issue. I do have to remember as an artist to be humble.

Others 03:12
Do you understand other people? What about you? Do you understand other people? What about you? Do you understand other people? What about you? Let's see how you act, and how you think in regard to others. Do you understand other people? What about you? Do you understand other people? Do you understand other people? What about you? Let's see how you act, and how you think in regard to others. Do you understand other people? Do you understand other people? What about you? Let's see how you act, and how you think in regard to others. Do you understand other people? What about you? Do you understand other people? Do you understand other people? What about you? Do you understand other people? What about you? Let's see how you act, and how you think in regard to others.

Through 02:28
Education through music Education through music Education through music We look at music education as being part of a well rounded education. Education through music Education through music We teach music in schools because it teaches kids to think. What we've found to be particularly successful is building a music technology lab.

Self 02:03
Build yourself up Self up Self My, that's hard work Physically Remember how he worked at it last night? Physically He's getting experience that will help him later on. My, that's hard work And right now she gets a big kick out of it. Build yourself up Self up Self It does keep me busy but Physically Well, that's not work. Satisfaction? To think that a few years ago people didn't have nearly so much time to themselves. That's something she'll be glad she did when she's older. Some of the fellows spend their time in group activities. Physically Providing them with a lot of fun She's getting a lot of pleasure from her own accomplishment. And she's acquiring a skill that will help her socially. My, that's hard work Build yourself up Self up Self

Imprisonment 05:55
“It was unique, I’ve never screamed so loud in my life. I’ve never been so upset in my life. And it was an experience of being out of control.” - Prisoner 8612 “Dammit! F***ed up! You don’t know, you don’t know! I mean, God! I mean, Jesus Christ, I’m burnin’ up inside, don’t you know?! I just f***in’ can’t take it.” - Prisoner 8612 We put good people in an evil place, and we saw who won, the evil place won over the good people. You know there was no solidarity, there was no support between the prisoners. “I feel f***ed up inside, I feel really f***ed up inside, you don’t know. I gotta go. I, ju.. to a doctor, anything! I can’t say, th.. I’m f***ed up! I don’t know how to explain it, I’m all f***ed up inside! I want out! I want out now!” - Prisoner 8612 The study showed that power corrupts. And how difficult it is for people who are victims of abuse to stand up and defend themselves.

about

This album is an updated version of an album I released in 2013 called "Pulse Depravity". Changes include new synth sounds & samples and professional mixing & mastering by The Human @ Human Studios in Portland, OR. There are also extensive compositional changes to some songs which reflect my development as a musician over the four years between releases. I don't know if this will be the 'final' version of the album, but I feel like this is a proper 'professional' release, whereas the original was more of an 'amateur' release (with proper respect to it as a labor of love, as I am still quite proud of what I was able to accomplish completely on my own.)

The included digital booklet should give some further ideas regarding the 'concept' behind the album, but as with many artists I want to leave it open ended enough for you to find your own meaning and interpretation in the music and the various samples and clips I've chosen to piece together. Enjoy!
