I Just Want to Sing

I wrote and produced this track, featuring Megurine Luka (巡音ルカ), in under a week, to enter into the Miku Expo 2018 songwriting contest. It didn't place, which is a bit of a bummer for me, but great news for you, as you get to download it immediately rather than waiting for the folks in charge of Miku Expo to buy the rights and release it through their labels. The song is based loosely on a tune that popped into my head a few years back and hummed into my voice recorder app and then abandoned. So it's mostly new, but there is a bit of old inspiration behind it. Not sure where the Latin feel came from, but I enjoyed working in those rhythms, and it gave me an excuse to practice guitar-sample programming.
